On my 50th birthday, I will be releasing my first research documentary film, Quest for Bigfoot: An Unknown Species. Season One: The Journey. Length: 1:59:34. To be available via YouTube. No charge to the public.
The decision to produce films was a last minute one. I could reach more people this way, rather than publishing another book. I can also provide these films at no charge to the public. So the footage used in Season One is footage we normally collect for ourselves, or for the website, for references. Using small clips here and there.
I will be producing a film each year. No two films will be the same. Every year, new adventures. This first film is more of an ice breaker. Showing my journey from the beginning, to the end of last year. As much as I was able to share this time out. You will be shown some of our base camps, what goes on, what we have found and some beautiful scenery. You will learn some of the history this creature has in these parts. I also share what it is we need to be looking for.
2016 was an extremely harsh year for the environment and the wildlife. Predators were stressed and some even showed signs of aggression. Doug and I had nothing but problems with wolves. There was also a moment there, where I almost became a statistic. I was stalked while trying to put up a trail cam. The dogs never even picked up on it. One step at a time and lengthy periods between steps. So close too. I was unable to see what it was. I experienced this one other time a few years ago, across Babine Lake. On the Decius. I know what most wildlife sound like out there. Whoever my stalker was, is not something I am familiar with.
I share an aerial view of at least two of my projects within the Nadina Forest District. A 2 hour flight down to just under 9 minutes.
Original theme music is by local musician Tim Sharp, of Smithers, B.C. Other music provided by Jason Shaw at Audionautix.com and DL Sounds. Greatly appreciated!
A new season begins for us in April. This time out, we will have a number of cameras on at all times. Covering as much as possible. We hope you will join us again for Season Two. I hope the research documentary series will help shed some light on the subject, for this area.
P.S. Doug and I do not carry, or use firearms out there.
